Green Drinks ReGroups

Okay, I'm a slacker. I'll admit it.

I'm almost as bad as this guy, except I recycle:


People want Green Drinks. People want to get together and talk about the green subjects that really rock our world. And we (myself and Ben, who are supposed to be organizing Green Drinks Rochester) have not been organizing effectively. So, after much prodding from those awesome people around me, we've decided to buckle down and make a real schedule.

GREEN DRINKS WILL NOW MEET EVERY THURSDAY!

Come, buy a drink, bring some friends, and talk "green." There won't be any formal agenda or anything. Its just a social gathering for people to meet and make friends. The concept of Green Drinks is that if we all share our ideas with each other, we'll see change happen faster.

We're planning on patronizing many local bars (and maybe sometimes restaurants) - a different one every week. Please check back to see where we'll meet, and I'll try to give as much heads up as possible. If you'd like to request a location, let me know. greendrinksroc@gmail.com

THE NEXT GREEN DRINKS WILL BE AT JOHN'S TEX-MEX ON SOUTH AVE. ON APRIL 19TH, 2007 at 6:00 PM.
It is technically a restaurant, but they have cheep beer and awesome food.

I can't wait to see everybody there. WEAR GREEN!

First Meeting

Green Drinks is a loosely affiliated network of eco-themed gatherings happening monthly in cities around the world. It’s a chance for folks to mingle, share projects and ideas, and meet other green-minded people in their area. More than 140 cities around the world from LA to Santiago to Delhi to Tokyo have a Green Drinks, and now, so does our little Rochester!

Its nothing too formal, everybody is welcome to come. There's no real "joining" process.

The first meeting for the new Rochester, NY chapter of Green Drinks will be on Friday, November 3rd at Caverly's on South Avenue at 6 PM.

Yay! Please wear green if you can so that we know who's with us.
